Anaxos - About Us

Our Beginnings
Anaxos was founded in Austin, Texas, in 1999 by Drew and Cynthia Johnson. At first, the company focused on providing writing and editing services to traditional publishers. Our primary areas of expertise were standardized testing, test preparation, language arts, and math. After the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001, demand for Anaxos's services skyrocketed. The company grew rapidly to keep pace with the growing need for material related to state assessment programs.

Continued Growth
As our staff grew, so did the scope of our services. We developed a deep pool of freelance writing talent in all major academic fields and developed trade books, textbooks, and workbooks for all grades and subjects. We carefully built a talented design staff, allowing Anaxos to offer full book packaging services as well as online course development.

New Ventures
Because our ongoing relationships with our clients continue to deepen and grow, Anaxos continues to grow into new areas, such as database management. As many of our clients make their titles available online, keeping material up to date is becoming a top-priority challenge. Anaxos offers a variety of continuous updating services for publishers who want to ensure that their online products are always fresh, accurate, and current.
