Drew and Cynthia Johnson founded Anaxos in Austin, Texas, in 1999. They each have nearly twenty years of publishing and project management experience. Drew began his career in educational publishing as Graduate Course Director for The Princeton Review, where he managed teams of test developers creating practices tests, student manuals, and teacher manuals used by tens of thousands of customers internationally. Cynthia was the first Editor in Chief at The Princeton Review and was responsible for developing the company's core test preparation trade books, college guide books, and graduate school guide books. For several years prior to founding Anaxos, Drew and Cynthia worked as freelance writers for the country's leading educational publishers. Their books have won numerous awards, including Parents' Choice and National Parenting Publications honors. Both Johnsons are also former English teachers.
